Carving Pumpkins

We drew faces and let the kids choose what they wanted on their pumpkins. The girls were ready to dig in and clean out their pumpkins. Kaleb touched the inside once and we never saw him again until they went outside. He just kept saying it was "disgusting!"

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch!!

This was a day we looked forward to for weeks! We went to Smith Family Farms in Pendleton. They have a barn with animals, corn maze, hay rides, pumpkin patch, snack barn, and most importantly a playground. The kids went through the barn and were able to watch chicks hatch and pet several farm animals. As you can tell by our pictures, in the middle of October it was 80 degrees! We then took the kids through the corn maze...or rather they took us. We got soooo lost and were in there about an hour. By the time we were out we were all hot and miserable. We then let the kids ride ponies and got refreshments. Pumpkin choosing was fun. They each wanted to pick one that was bigger than they were. We quickly set the rule that if they couldn't pick it up, they couldn't bring it home! It was finally time to play and they couldn't wait! We also had brought Gary and Katelyn (my 10yr old and 8 yr old brother and sister) along with us.

Soccer Season

Kylie played soccer again this past fall. She and her best friend, Ellie, were on the same team. Ellie's dad and Josh were their coaches. They were so cute! We outscored almost every other team we played...mostly because we had 2 boys on our team that never gave any other team a chance!
